Tavern on the green for NYE??
I am going to be in NYC for New Years Eve. I was wondering if anyone knows what the price would be for Tavern on the green for NYE? Do you know anything about what is included in the cost? Can you see fireworks from the restaurant? I have searched online and have found mixed articles. Some articals said that the dinner was only $250 a person. Some said $600 and others said over $1000 a person.
Thanks!
kimberley
I already called TOTG yesterday and they wont have menus until november. I am just trying to get an idea about it now because I need to plan. I can't afford a hotel that is $1000 a night if I am paying $1000 a person for dinner. Thanks

In New York City, New Year's Eve is celebrated with vigour as the traditional midnight fireworks are let off in Central Park, South St Seaport and Prospect Park in Brooklyn.
Spectacular in its own right, New York City has masses to offer during the New Year celebrations. Those looking for sheer numbers should head for Times Square to see the famous ball drop at midnight. But, if you don't fancy freezing on the street with tens of thousands of people, we recommend you book to go to a restaurant or bar close to one of the firework locations and aim to finish in time to catch the pyrotechnics.
Uptowners should head for Central Park, where the explosions signal the start of the New York Road Runners Midnight Run, Brooklynites for Prospect Park and those hankering for stunning cityscape views should definitely go for South St Seaport. With its location on the East River and close to Brooklyn Bridge, the views are awesome.
I'm assuming the Central Park ones are shot off over the Resivoir, and if thats the case TotG is not a good choice since its off to the side, and obstructed by trees and rocks.

EVE Online - Outartoh Sansha Incursion [03/02/11] Pt. 2
Has the Christianity Today cover-story for June[using Human Genome Project to dismiss a literal Adam due to...?
.....human genetic diversity requiring a 10,000+ member "founder population"] has impacted your local church pastoral staff and even your local congregation?
Online responses have been significant (and often emotive) and Dr. Francis Collins' statements against the traditional Christian viewpoint of a literal Adam and Eve has predictably stirred up strong reactions. So I'm curious if American Christian laity are already hearing about the article and the scientific announcements and publications upon which it is based?
=================================================
And yes, I consider the CT article presumptive and even defective in a number of ways but that isn't my question. I'm simply asking if the firestorm it has already created among pastors and Christian scholars online has started to reach parishioners.

Maybe now the churchies will cease using the good doctor in their appeals to authority.
