I haven't ever played eve before is it worth downloading the 14 day trial?
Since the graphics overhaul about a year ago and the new features within the latest patch, a 14 day free trial isn't a bad idea. I would give it a shot for yourself and determine whether or not you like it.
I will admit, when you first start out, being able to play the game with other players can make or break your experience. I was lucky enough to have a friend walk me through the game from the beginning and help me through the "noob" phase.
Give it a shot and don't be afraid to ask for help from your fellow players.
